Big Muddy Results

Anglers took to the Big Muddy combating more than just river current and moving fish...they took on some rather stiff North Dakota spring weather.

Cool temps and strong winds made for difficult fishing but many anglers were able to bring nine fish into the scale.  The tournament committee took steps to ensure public input was taken into consideration making anglers only able to weight three fish 20 inches or bigger.  Weights showed the restriction but on the other side, the weights also showed the health of Missouri River walleyes with top five teams bringing in healthy averages.

The top three finishers were team 86 composed of Travis Anderson, Cody Anderson and Colton Anderson weighing in 28.62 pounds.  Second place composed of Michael Reichart, Tony Hauck and Rocky Thompson came in with 27.38 pounds whom also claimed big fish of the tournament with a 6.66 pound walleye.  Third place went to team members Mark Holzer, Harold Hammeren and Howard Burns with a final weight of 26.56 pounds.
