Missouri River (ND Lower Portion) - Thursday, March 22, 2012
Report Details
Fishing still remains excellent up and down the whole system. Most fish are coming on jigs with either plastics or minnows, they both seem to be working fine. The crank bite is starting to heat up along with the water temps and should continue to improve each day with these warm days. We've been concentrating mostly close to town but I have heard of good reports pretty much all over. Get out and enjoy the nice weather and the great fishing!www.lakeoaheguides.com

Re:I was curious as to how the river is as far as a channel, sand bars, debri, hiden stumps, etc. I am going to be heading that way in a couple of weeks, and I really like my prop and lower unit...

Re:Seems pretty similar to years past, definitely still some hazards out there. |

Re: Just try to stick to the channel, as it's pretty clean now after the high runs last summer. Obviously easier said than done, but if you have to just sit and watch boats for a few minutes, always plenty of boats cruising around. Shouldn't be too tough to get around, but beware there are plenty of sandbars about a foot and a half under that don't break any water but would break your lower unit in a hurry. Good luck out there.
