Missouri River System - Monday, April 4, 2011
And we're off. The bite started up pretty hot and heavy last week with boats limiting easily for the most part. Nice fish as well, many in the 20-23 inch range. However, there still remains a great deal of uncertainty as to what the water is going to do over the next week with run-off still on it's way. We'll have to wait and see. Click here to look at a couple nice ones from last weekend.

Missouri River System - Wednesday, November 10, 2010
Walleye fishing on the Missouri River out of Bismarck has been real good as of late. With the nice weather we’ve had the past week, it’s made for some fun and enjoyable fall walleye fishing. With water levels still high – the water has seemed to clear quite a bit and their sure are some nice walleyes waiting to be had. Good numbers of 18-21 inch fish are very common right now. Boats have been out the past week limiting in short order most days. Pitching jigs with plastics or minnows up into the shallows have been the ticket. As long as we have open water, this fall walleye bite will continue and fishing will be good. But, as I type, I can’t help notice the 25 mph wind gusts and winter knocking at our door.

Missouri River System - Monday, March 22, 2010
One of our fishing guides was fishing the river south of Fox Island this past Saturday. He fished for four hours picking up 5 walleyes between 19 and 22 inches and lost a few at the boat pitching jigs tipped with minnows and gulp. All in all, walleye fishing on the Missouri River was good considering the conditions. The creeks feeding into the Missouri River are opened up for the most part causing some stained water, but that’s good news as conditions should continue to improve steadily over the next couple of weeks with a strong walleye bite just around the corner.
